UN Delegation Visits Aleppo Vocational Training Complex to Review Integrated Skills Development Programme

A joint delegation from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) visited the Aleppo Vocational Training Complex to review the implementation of the Integrated Vocational Training Programme led by HAND across the governorates of Damascus, Homs, Aleppo and Latakia, in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Industry and the private sector.

During the visit, the delegation toured the complex and was briefed on the rehabilitation and upgrading works undertaken by HAND, as well as the vocational training programmes and related activities designed to enhance young people's employability and strengthen their technical and professional competencies in line with labour market requirements.

The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to monitor the implementation of vocational training initiatives that support sustainable development, foster stronger alignment between training outcomes and labour market needs, and contribute to building a skilled workforce capable of supporting economic recovery and productive sectors in Syria.
